Book Review: The One Who Fell

Book: The One Who Fell

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for an advanced audio copy.

The One Who Fell is the first book in the Whitecliff Bay Mystery series. This is an excellent way to start a series.

The book follows Millie. Millie volunteers at a nursing home and spends time talking with many different residents there. One woman, Ingrid, tells Millie she saw someone push a girl off of a roof that she can see from her window. No one believes Ingrid except for Millie. Millie sets out on a mission to find out what happened and as soon as she starts asking questions she feels like she is being followed.

I loved learning about Millie and seeing her character develop. She is an amazing lead that I can’t wait to see solve more mysteries.

I love small-town romance books, I never had a small-town mystery book. The small-town aesthetic lends itself well to the mystery genre perfectly.

If you love mysteries then this is a series worth checking out.

Final score 4/5
