Book Review: Right Girl, Wrong Side

Book: Right Girl, Wrong Side

Author: Ginny Baird

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced audio copy

Right Girl, Wrong Side is predictable and immature, but still entertaining. Two rival families won a vacation to a beach house. The only problem was there was only supposed to be one winner and now it’s double booked.

The mothers of both families have been rivals since high school and it’s up to their children Ryan and Evita who have had a crush on each other also since high school to try to keep the peace.

The relationship between Ryan and Evita is very well done. They used to like each other as kids now as adults they start to slowly show their feelings. It’s a slow burn that’s worth it. Their story I really liked. It’s the family rivalry that I did not like and found just too immature.

The families literally draw a line down half the house they are in and pull you can’t cross this line childish game. It really angered me that a book with such a good relationship had such an immature supporting cast.

As a rom-com, I still do recommend it. There is just more to get through than you would like.

Final score 3/5
