I have had this book on my to-be-read list for years but never gotten around to it. I am so glad I finally read it! It was a great story. It is a perfect young adult book with the perfect amount of adventure and love. Sometimes even as a non-young adult, these are the perfect books. The author describes the scenery so vividly that you could picture it so easily. I couldn’t put it down. I could just close my eyes and see Italy like it was right in front of me after reading the descriptions. If it was for everything else this book did so well I could almost recommend it as a travel book since it will just transport you right to Italy.
