I received this book through the Once Upon A Book Club that comes with gifts that pertain to the book as you read. The gifts were amazing! I was so shocked by them.
The book was pretty good. As I read on I did begin to root for Lita to win the pageant. I loved how close she, Chicky, Cole, and Junior got as the story went on. I also loved that they stood up for one another. They had a great bond. However, the magic realism portion seemed very unnecessary to the plot. It did not make much sense to the storyline.
