Kristen’s Review

At first, I was not aware that this book is the seventh in a series. Thankfully, you don’t have to have read the other six to read this book. It is great as a standalone!

This story follows a detective named Jane Tennison and her partner Simon Boon, they go to investigate a report of a coffin being dug up on a job site. The crime is then set back to 40 years ago. I will say there were a few dragged out moments but it was needed within the story.

Once the whole investigation starts to unfold it gets very wild! Anytime that I had thought I had it figured out, there would be another plot twist. I loved that about it, especially with the ending!

This is my first time reading a novel by Lynda La Plante and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I definitely will be looking into the rest of the series now!

A big thank you to Simon & Schuster and Bookish for gifting me a copy of Unholy Murder!

Score 3/5
