1,576,800 Minutes Ago We Said I Do

This will be something a little different. There will be a small food review in here but it’s mostly a life review. Three years ago today my beautiful wife and I confessed our love before family and friends and our love has only continued to grow.

2020 has been a tough year for everyone. Personally I can not complain one bit. We have our health and we have each other. We even extended our family with this cutie a few months before the world went into stasis.

If we didn’t have each other the inability to be with family and friends would have been crippling. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still hard to not be able to safely hug our parents, and be able to watch the kids in our family grow into young adults, but the love that we share and the home we have built together keeps me going.

My beautiful wife has been my rock through it all. I’m fortunate enough to still be working and making a difference. Knowing she is home has actually kept me safe. I want to always protect her so I take every precaution imaginable to be able to safely return home and not bring any of 2020’s nasty stuff with me.

When I need a smile I think back to three years ago. We got married at Addison Park in New Jersey and the day was perfect. The weather was beautiful and everything went off without any problems. This is where the post takes me to the small food review.

Our wedding cake came from Alfonso’s bakery in Staten Island. The cake looked as amazing as it tastes. It even tasted just as great a year later when we celebrated our first anniversary. This year we went back to Alfonso’s and got some goodies to celebrate but more on that at a later date.

The road to here was not always easy and it wasn’t always a straight road either. Once we got there however, it has been smooth sailing. The love we feel for each other is a love I never thought was imaginable.

It’s a crazy feeling to spend every day with someone and then those few moments you have to spend apart you miss the other person and just can’t wait to be back together. This is a feeling that if you told me about ten years ago I would think you were exaggerating and or just crazy.

As I sit here and reflect on our life together and the memories we have made, I can not wait to see what the future has for us. No matter what life throws our way everything will always be ok . I will always be able to close out each and every day with a smile knowing you will both end and begin each day by my side.

A lot of people helped us get here. Thank you to all of our family and friends who made everything easy. Thank you SCE Event Group for making every moment special and thank you to Premier Digital Photography for capturing every moment.

I love you with all my heart. Happy anniversary!

For those of you who are just here about the food be sure to check out some good doughnuts we had at Sal’s Bakery. For all your other food needs head over to our Instagram. I’ll end this post how I end every night. I love you.
