Can I Have Some S’more

Massanutten Resort is tucked away in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, surrounded by nature and mountains, so the name Campfire Grill is perfect. The setting and the atmosphere is beautiful. While the dinner here was great, that’s not what we are here to talk about. Whats a campfire without s’mores? Campfire Grill has an amazing outdoor seating area with tables that surround a fire pit where you can roast your own marshmallows and make some s’mores.

When your surrounded by mountains, sitting around a table with family and friends roasting some marshmallows, its a recipe for a great time. When your in an area like this the wildlife and scenery around you will keep you smiling long after you leave. While we were enjoying our s’mores we were also enjoying watching deer roam around as the mountain breeze and the warmth from the fire had us feeling comfortable.

If roasting your own marshmallows and making your own s’mores is not for you, they still have you covered. They have a skillet s’more that was s’mores heaven. Served in a skillet the top layer was perfectly roasted marshmallows, then a thick layer of warm gooey chocolate and completing the s’more was a nice house made graham cracker. Most dessert leaving me feeling guilty when I’m done but this just left me feeling happy. No guilt.

Its always nice to get away and escape to a place like the Shenandoah Valley. Knowing the Campfire Grill is waiting for us there, I really cant wait to get back now.
