In 2016 Project Brunch exploded into everyone’s social media with their creative and delicious take on our favorite meal, brunch. It quickly became our go to place and somewhere we frequent more than any other restaurant. Their success was tremendous and it was only a matter of time before they continued to grow. Now fast forward to 2018 and their success shows no signs of slowing down and a second location is born.

This is less important to us, but to the world, this will most likely be huge. At the new Forest Ave location, you can have your self a boozy brunch! This location has a full bar so you can expect some fun drinks that Project Brunch is famous for to have some alcohol infused versions.

They currently have a limited menu, however, their “limited” menu is still better than most other places. Since the option for some alcohol was available we figured why not, and got a couple drinks to start off our meal.

I started my brunch off with a Bloody Mary, a classic brunch drink, and my wife got a Salted Caramel Nitro Brew.

Salted Caramel, two words that could be my wife’s kryptonite. This coffee drink was the definition of how you balance a drink that contains alcohol. This drink is nitro cold brew coffee that is mixed with Kahlua, Godiva liqueur, and salted caramel. It’s finished with a generous amount of whipped cream on top and a salted caramel rim. When mixing anything with alcohol it is very easy for it to just taste like alcohol but this drink was super smooth and very easy to drink. A perfect balance and a perfect way to start off any brunch.

On to the food. I have personally tried so many of their items and specials and never found anything that was not delicious or unique. I wanted to see how they can take a basic item and bring it to a Project Brunch level, so I went with a BLT. Very simple, bacon, lettuce, and tomato on a sandwich, how can they change it? Well, they did. The tomatoes are coated in panko breadcrumbs giving it a nice crunch and an extra level of flavor, making this a unique and delicious version of a BLT.

The other item we got was the “Mac Daddy”. This is a pulled pork sandwich with bacon mac and cheese that’s topped off with bacon, jalapeno, and maple syrup. If that doesn’t already sound amazing enough, let us not forget where we are. We are at project brunch so putting this as a normal sandwich just is not enough. The bread for this sandwich is a waffle! They have more amazing sandwiches like this which we will touch on in a later post. There is nothing negative you can think to say about this amazing sandwich.

Project Brunch is an amazing restaurant and they will never stop amazing us. One thing that amazes me and everyone should be aware of is how affordable their prices are. This is a business with a serious amount of buzz and hype and their prices still stay so low. We can not wait to see what they will come up with next. The future is definitely bright for Project Brunch and they will continue to deliver the best brunch experience.
